First station of tour was Anping. We went straight to the Anping Old Street, where most of the food was sold.
There were alot stalls with the similar name. In order not to get cheated, we decided to watch closely first before deciding what to buy. The main thing, that we look at to distinguish the best out of all, was the CROWD!! Usually the most famous stall will be surrounded by a lot of people. Clever right?? =p
1. 棺材板 Guan Cai Ban - directly translate will be Coffin Board
The taste is not bad. It`s crunchy outside, creamy inside. The content inside is smtg
taste like mushroom soup. Recommended!! 4 stars =)

2. 状元糕 ZHUANG YUAN GAO - Champion Kuih??
It`s done by a special tool. The content is quite similar with Muazi. She steams the
glutinous rice flour with peanuts or black sesame. The food is special, but have to
finish it while it still hot. Otherwise, it`ll be hard like stone. However, the taste is just
so so- 3 stars.

A special biscuit, but not so sure about the ingredient. It tastes like Pong Pia. Quite nice!! 4 stars. =))
Moreover, you can buy it as souvenir. It can be kept as most for 1 month. However, I think it would be best
eaten when it`s freshly came out from the hot pan!!

4. 蛋卷 Egg roll
It`s not new to us since it could be found easily in night market. The taste is good since
it`s handmade on the spot.

5. 鹅蛋 Egg of goose
First of all, it`s very BIG!!! I think it`s 2-3 times the usual size of an egg. It`s cooked using herbs. The egg
white is harder than the usual egg. Moreover, the taste is...ehemm...a bit weird. We cannot finish it all..
Sorry..1 star if thr is kicap available..><
7. 茂记黑豆华大王 - Black Soy Custard

The food in Tainan is famous with its black sugar. Not only soy custard, even milk tea also popular with
it. We order the special version - It comes with fresh milk, red beans and small black pearl. I like it very
much!!! 5 stars =)
There are actually 3 historical building at that area. Another two are 武庙 (Wu Temple) and 大天后宫 (Mazhu Temple, 妈祖庙). After visiting these 3 places, of cause it`s time to hunt for food!!! =p
8. 武庙肉圆 (Wu Temple Meatball)
Strongly strongly recommended!!! The stuffing is so much delicious!!! It comes with a small bowl of
chicken soup. It sold by set, which comprises of 3 meatballs. >>>5 stars XD

It`s made of red bean. It`s very sweet and very...RED BEAN. ??!!! I dunno wat else can describe it best.
If you like red bean, you`ll love it. But if you have phobia towards it, better dun try it out...=p
The serving is quite large. Therefore, I would suggest 2 people share it, just in case you cannot finish.

10. Eva Puff
A lot of people said that we got it in Malaysia also. But seriously, I never try it before =p LOL..
It`s very nice with ice-cream in it. I like the decoration of the shop too. The main thing I spotted in
Taiwan is, if you want to be famous, your shop can be either very very ancient, or very very special or
cute in design.

Taiwanese is overwhelmed with milk tea or red tea, just like Chatime in Malaysia. The main
difference is, they have more than 10 different brands of such beverage shops!!! Taiwanese really likes
to drink those beverages, for exp they drink during breakfast, lunch, tea-time, dinner, supper.. Even they
are not buying the beverage from those shops, they usually likes to purchase drinks from 7-Eleven.
